Hi, just want to confirm what Stefan says in this post, that there is no way to create columns of equal height using Otter’s section block. Is this really true? It feels like an oversight, and I’d hope it could be addressed in future releases. I was dismayed to read his suggested fix was to add a spacer, as obviously that relies on everyone viewing the site to be viewing it under the exact same conditions as the designer, which is the very opposite of good web design philosophy!

If Otter Blocks can’t provide this functionality, it would be nice to know of at least an accurate and effective workaround, instead of an illusory “hack” like that suggested above.

  • Hi @polemarch,

Thank you for using Otter Blocks!

As Stefan mentioned in his post, the current workaround is the only solution available for aligning columns at the same height. Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in option for this at the moment. However, I’ve submitted a feature request on GitHub, and the development team will review it to determine the next steps. You can check the progress here: https://github.com/Codeinwp/otter-blocks/issues/2334.

    Kind regards,

    Mara

    Hey @polemarch,

I would like to clarify that the columns within the Section block of Otter are of the same height.

My reply on this thread was based on the section I saw on the page shared by the user at that time. The goal there was for the paragraph blocks within the columns to have the same height, which is different from the height of the columns. The columns were at the same height on that page as well. I was referring to the height of the content inside the columns, which wasn’t equal. I sincerely apologize for the confusion created in this regard.

Please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any additional inquiries. We are here to help!
