Erasing edit's history – possible?

Hi, whenever a page or post is edited, the ID of the person who is logged appears below the text body showing her/his name and the date of the text’s alteration.

My question is: is it possible to erase an entry from the history? Or even edit the text without you logon being caught by the history?
