• Hello,

I have been having issues with several of my wordpress sites. I keep getting ERR_Empty_Response when attempting to log into the admin panel. I have tried to manually disable plugins. I have even freshly installed wordpress onto a different domain. The issue still persists. I either the err_empty_response or the login page just stays the way it is with my login credentials and never actually goes anywhere.

Since, this is an issue across 4 domains, I was thinking could be it possibly be the server it is hosted on? However, why would I be able to go to the blog fine, but can’t log into the admin page.

Also, I want to add, I have cleared cache, history, used multiple browsers, different computer and devices. Even my phone. ipconfig and everything. Still same issue.

    Thank you

Yes, start by contacting the webhosting company.

I’ve contacted them and they said that there isn’t an issue with the server. Other wordpress sites using the same ipaddress and server do not have any problems.

However, it doesn’t make any sense that all of the domains I am hosting would have the same issue.

I was thinking it could possibly be a permission thing? I notice that some of the images that are on themes of wordpress blogs or even mybb sites that are hosted do not appear properly.

have you checked in the database on the permissions for the username you are using?
are all 4 sites using the same hosting account account or same webhosting vendor?

I am unclear about this issue: “I notice that some of the images that are on themes of wordpress blogs or even mybb sites that are hosted do not appear properly.”

can you share a screen capture of what you see before and after you put in your username and password?

are you able to set WP_DEBUG to true in your wp-config file? (use file manager or ftp)

I have checked the permissions and all four sites are hosted on the same vendor/account. I have one master login and under there I have all of the domains.

    As for the image
The images appear like this in most of the browsers I tried.

I’ve set the debug to true already,

Another thing I just thought of, I recently added SSL to one of the domains. Would that be something that can cause it? Also, would it even be able to affect all four websites.

I am unable to see anything using this link: https://i64.tinypic.com/1dzqmh.jpg

please share all 4 urls where the issue is happening.
(I will assume you are not using WordPress MultiSite)
Have you confirmed that the correct username has admin permissions on all 4 sites?
Are plugins deactivated on all 4 sites?
Is an unmodified default theme activate on all 4 sites?

Have you tried a different device that you have not used before to access your dashboard with different IP address?

Did you check on this related issue:

    Please clarify…
