• I got the ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE on my webpage. Already tried everything on the internet, from changing template, to installing and checking plugins. It won’t go back to normal. The files seem to be there. There was one troubleshooting that suggested to refresh the home page and others, but I can’t get the page editor to open. It goes do a blank page and it doesn’t finishes loading. I have installed a plugin detective, but when I click to troubleshoot it goes to the same problem of a blank page, not fully loaded.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Hello! I have already done that. It doesn’t seem to be a plugin related issue.
I was able to get the website back to the user, but I still cannot edit any content because clicking on page editing sends me to a blank page. It seems that there’s no content to the website, even though there is. I was able to inspect a page and find what seemed http2 error, but I still have no clue on how to get that part to work.

A blank page means PHP is crashing, usually due to a function conflict introduced by a plugin or theme.

Did you try changing the theme too?

Yes, I did. I already know its a http2 error. Something related to the proxy and the server not being able to read the content of the website. Still no clue in how to solve that, but at least I am moving forward.

If that is indeed the case, you should speak with your hosting provider’s support, as the problem is happening outside of WordPress.
