ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS after activating multi sites

  • I’m testing multistage functionality and after activating it successfully but still I did not test to create child sites.
    I was trying to add new plugins from the network dashboard. It gives me the following error “ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS”
    The same as for adding new themes.

    in the mean time all the installed plugins are dis-activated.

    I did some troubleshooting from the my search on the internet but no success.

    Here is what I have tried:
    – emptied cookies and try in private navigation
    – emptied browser cache, server cache, cloud cache
    – renamed htaccess file
