• Webhook error in woocommerce, Woocomemrce -> Advanced -> Features -> Order attribution

This option, which was launched less than a year ago, to track the origin of the sale, generates problems in the webhook. What are these problems?

When the order has a direct origin, it generates a webhook with certain data. When an order comes with a source of this traffic, for example, google.com, it generates another webhook, and that’s where the problem lies.

We use the webhook to perform several integrations and because of this “order attribution” function, it generates these problems, because it will always have dynamic webhooks and changing data, which is very bad for integrations.

One option would be to disable this option and everything will return to normal, but I believe that the correct thing would be for WooCommerce to correct this problem of webhook data becoming dynamic because of the origin of the order, as this can affect tracking, so the correct thing is to correct this problem in a future update, so that the data is no longer dynamic because of an origin.

    Hi @joselobo3f ,

Thank you for sharing the details of the issue you’re encountering with the webhook and the “Order Attribution” feature. Based on what you’ve described, it seems like this behavior is unintended, and submitting it as a bug report would be the best course of action.

I recommend submitting the issue as a bug report on the WooCommerce GitHub repository so the development team can investigate and address it in a future update.

    Thank you.
