    I am opening this topic cause i see this plugin is new and would like to help the author.

    Just installed the plugin and got the above mentioned error, the website is down right now, also it would be great to have option in shortcode to add specific categories for desired post to include in slideshow.

    Hi Dddt,

    Firstly, thanks for using our plugin.

    I did a very Fresh install on WordPress 4.3.1 in local environment and tested the whole plugin and settings. And Found everything seems to working correctly. Also plugin is tested on Debug Mode is ON.

    I googled this error and found this is happened only by some of other security plugin like
    – WP Staging – DB & file duplicator & migration
    – Bluehost and Cloudflare DNS issue (Error 1001) here
    – This is also related to PHP version is lower then Version 5.3

    I suggest you to please delete the previous install and reinstall the plugin on site. Also share your website link.
    Could you make define('WP_DEBUG', true); in wp-config.php file?
    It will show the exact error and error source path.

    For: shortcode to add specific categories for desired post

    Sorry! but at this time you can use newly created slider shortcode in any Page/Post/Text Widget by copy and pasting shortcode in content area.
