Discount on total cart qty

Thanks for sharing the screenshots, discount on total cart quantity considers number of different products in the cart (in your screenshot you have 3 products which means it will come under first quantity range ie 2 to 4 – value 2). We can see that the discount being applied is 2, which is the value you have given for the first quantity range.

There are six products in total. Surely the quantity should apply to the quantity of total products not the quantity of types of products?

Right now quantity based rules (discount on total cart quantity) considers the number of products (different) in the cart. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

that makes no sense. so you can only order different products, not multiples of the same product in order to get the discount?

Even if what you’re saying is true then the discount should have been $6 not $2.

I strongly urge you to rethink the logic of your plugin. This really makes no sense at all.

We do understand your concern, seems like the option text ‘Discount on total cart quantity’ is little bit confusing. We have discussed the same with our developer team and have also asked them for adding this feature (discount based on cart items count, considering each products quantity).

Not only is it confusing but the pricing table does not reflect this at all. I think there are some serious coding problems with this part of the plugin – as I said, even if that is what your objective is, the math still doesn’t make sense. The same thing goes for the percentage discount. Additionally, the price is not modified in the cart (with the strikethrough on the old price and the new price, as well as the modified subtotals). Everything else seems to work correctly in your plugin except for “discount on total cart quantity” which has so many problems. I hope you fix it!

Sure. Note that before the plug-in works just fine. At 4 products a coupon of 25 euro wil be applied. It doesn’t matter if it’s a single product. It can be also 2 products with the total quantity of 4.

Seems like you have a single product (4 quantity) on your cart, if you need to apply discount on product quantity please change the quantity based discount type to discount on product quantity.

I see you’ve updated the plugin to fix this problem. Unfortunately it doesn’t work. The new total cart based discount does nothing. This is very frustrating.

In our latest update we have added a new quantity discount type (discount on cart items), it will consider the total cart quantity (including individual cart quantities). Please change the quantity discount type to discount on cart items.

Yes i saw that. It doesn’t work. Nothing happens.

As of now we have 3 options on quantity discount:
– discount on individual product quantity
– discount on cart items count (number if different items on cart, doesn’t considers individual item count)
– discount on cart quantity (number of total items on cart, considers individual item count)
