• Hi,

I have an issue wherein my blog website loads properly on my personal devices, but it is not the case when accessed from my company laptop (firewall issues).

But I am looking for an explanation of this scenario. When I load my website through my office laptop, the layout is messed up and all images don’t load properly. Screenshot below of the console errors:

However, when I check the network logs in Chrome Dev tools, I see that the files which have 200 status code are from memory cache. How is it possible that very few of these files load and others don’t? If these files are blocked (I verified that I am not able to call these files directly) how is it that my domain is not blocked?

Has someone else faced this issue and managed to resolve it? I searched the forum and most of it seems to be due to a plugin/folder permission issue, but it is not in my case.

  • Hi @djeah,

As it works fine on your personal laptop, I think we can assume it is indeed a firewall issue with your company laptop. Please speak with your company IT team/support who will be able to interogate their firewall system.

I agree, it is unusual that part of the site works but not all – but it really does depend on exactly how the company firewall is configured.

It doesn’t appear to be an issue with your WordPress site. It loads all okay for me and no odd layout or missing bits. I think your conclusion about it not being permissions based is correct.

    Does that help?

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
