  • Your homepage give 500 Internal server error, that means there is some configuration problem either from server side or in your web site. If your host have enabled suPHP then make sure all the folders have maximum 755 permissions and all php files have maximum 644 permissions. Otherwise you will receive 500 error. Also, check your .htaccess file and make sure that there is no invalid line in it.

Regarding 404 error, make sure that you have uploaded all your files in root folder of your domain (public_html, htdocs etc.). If you still face the problem, I suggest you to contact your host.

are you on linux or windows? Check the proper permissions (I am afraid you are on windows)

Are you sure that the folder you uploaded WordPress to is the root folder or folder that your URL is pointing to?

I’m on windows..where do i find my permissions? Having a look now with my host..Thanks guys for all the feedback!

I wouldn’t use windows. You should try to get a linux host.
