Hi. I have a strange problem. I have many error 404 on my search console which is related to submitted comments. For example I get 404 error on mywebsite.com/weblog/comment-1234. This page is not exists but mywebsite.com/weblog/#comment-1234. I don’t know how these URLs are made but some settings caused # to be removed from URL.

I have SEO Yoast on my website. Does this problem related to Yoast settings? If not can Yoast help me to solve it?

    Hello @saraeee

Thanks for reaching out but I am not sure how that relates to the Yoast SEO plugin. If you temporarily disable the plugin, do you get the 404s when you visit the comment links?

We look forward to hearing from you.

Dear @maybellyne thank you. In fact right now my site has a bad situation in SEO and I afraid if I turn off Yoast more problems occurs. Because I have to wait for 4-5 days until the error seen in the search console.

Do you have any other suggestion for me? Can I redirect 404 URLs to the main one in htaccess? For example redirect mywebsite.com/category1/post1/comments-123456 to mywebsite.com/category1/post1/#comments-123456
