    Hello

It’s very strange but the link is correct but there is a 404 error page with no calendar.

Before, I activate 2 different plugins because I tested something: Page Links to and the plugin you recommend with other links.

Now I deactivated and delete the plugins, but there is no calendar. What can I do?

Thank you so much for helping.

    Kind regards
    Nicole

    Sorry to hear that, Nicole.

To help us out with this can you reactivate the plugin so we can view the site and do a little troubleshooting?

It could also be worth – especially if you have a testing/staging site to work with – deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme, then seeing if things work as expected (just in case there is a conflict with one of the other plugins you are using or with your theme).

@bastamanography: sorry to hear that. Mind creating your own topic, though? Even if it seems like the same problem, it may not be — so creating a topic of your own is generally worthwhile as noted here. Thanks!

    Hello Barry

    Thank you for answering.

    I reactivate it now.

The other thing I did it a few days before because I read it in forum. I deactivated all other plugin and took the theme twenty seventeen and it was all ok.

When I installed the calendar first, I saw it and the error page came after installing 2 different plugins because I tested something: Page Links to and the plugin you recommend with other links.
Since then, the error page is coming…

    What can I do?
Do you need a Temporary Login Without Password?

Thank you very much and kind regards

    Hi Nicole,

We don’t generally accept login credentials, I’m afraid — and hopefully won’t need them, either ??

When I installed the calendar first, I saw it and the error page came after installing 2 different plugins because I tested something: Page Links to and the plugin you recommend with other links.

So it sounds like you successfully determined that one or two other plugins were triggering the problem. I’m a little unclear which, exactly: can you confirm perhaps by linking to the relevant plugin pages?

Are you able to work without those plugins, perhaps by finding replacements?

    Hello Barry

Thank you very much for you help.

I’d like to have no Background Opacity and wanted to test with these plugins if it works but it didn’t. I deleted them but since then, the error message is coming. What can I do?

Perhaps I have to buy the pro calendar for this problem but I’m not sure if it works when I have this problem at the moment.

There’s no need to invest in the PRO calendar and, in fact, I would not recommend doing that until we solve the problem with The Events Calendar itself.

I’d like to have no Background Opacity and wanted to test with these plugins if it works but it didn’t.

I’m not sure what you mean exactly, re background opacity, and would suggest setting that issue aside while we look at the 404 error.

How about this: first, please try the steps described here. If those don’t work, consider trying the following steps.

    • Can you install a clean copy of WordPress in a subdirectory, to use as a testing site? (ie, example.com/test-wp)
    • Start by installing The Events Calendar but don’t install anything else (and stick to a default, unmodified theme to begin with)
    • Add some events and confirm everything is working as expected with no 404 Errors where you should see events

If you hit problems at this stage, please pause and reply with a link to your test site. Otherwise please continue as follows:

    • Install and activate the same theme that you have on your live site
    • Does this introduce the problem?
    • If it doesn’t, install and activate each of the same plugins you have on your live site
    • Does one of those introduce the problem (if so, which)?

This should help us to identify the conflict.

    Hello Barry

I’m very thankful that you’re helping me.

    https://casino-tc.ch/test/events/
That’s the test version and there is also an error.

I know that the 2 plugins I explain brought these problems but I deleted them (and not the plugins I have now because I had them too and the calendar worked). But why is it still like this? Very strange…

    Kind regards

    Hi @taina015,

I can see the 404 error, but I’m not sure if you tried the steps I outlined in my last reply.

I’m also unsure if you have now removed the conflicting plugins or if you added them back. If you have removed them, though, and are still experiencing this same problem please try visiting Settings ? Permalinks (you do not need to change anything though) and see if that corrects things.

If it does not fix things and you still experience the problem, then I’d suggest running through the testing for conflicts steps once more as perhaps a different plugin (or even your theme) is actually triggering the issue.

Hey there! This thread has been inactive for a while so we’re going to go ahead and mark it Resolved. Please feel free to open a new thread if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. ??
