Error 404, on uploaded media files (added into page/post)

  • Hi everyone,

    I’m having loads of trouble, on inserting an audio (or just media in general) file onto either a page or post.

    What I can do:+ Upload files to my media gallery (wp-content/uploads)
    + I can get a full file URL after uploading to the media gallery

    What I can’t do:
    – Get the full file url to work (taken straight to error 404 page)
    – Insert the file on a post or page (due to url not working)

    Why does the link I’m given by wordpress (file url), not work right after uploading a file to my media gallery? Hope you guys can help me out here ??

    Oh yes, it should be noted that I have previously uploaded a file via the Media manager in wordpress (a PDF file) – and this works perfectly.

    I can click the link on the page, where I inserted the file – and then it show me the PDF – this is what I can’t get to work with an audio file ??
