I’m marking this as resolved as we discussed via email and it seemed to be connected with a different plugin.

It could be a couple of things:

• Do you have comments enabled?
• What template are you using? Check in Settings > Discussion Board > Design tab to see if the ‘Use theme templates’ option is checked

Hi, yes comments are enabled and use ‘use theme templates’ is also checked.

Please try unchecking ‘Use theme templates’ to use the templates that come with the plugin. This will establish if your theme files are the issue.

Could you also try switching to a standard theme like Twenty Sixteen and retesting?
