Error 404 with page links

  • I am new to WP and am trying to develop a new website for the company that I work for. As I’m in the developing stage, the page is not yet live and is only on my local server (WAMP).

    I am having trouble with my page links. I have added new pages and clicked to publish them. When I go to view the pages an error 404 appears saying the requested URL cannot be found on the server. To tried to self-diagnose the problem and looked to see if others have had this same problem. It seemed that it might be something to do with the .htaccess file or something to do with the apache? I’ve had a look and the .htaccess file is definitely in the same folder as the index.php file.

    Can anyone help out with this problem? The theme I’m using is the hueman version 1.2.7. Also I have already changed the permalinks setting to ‘post-name’. Help would be much appreaciated!
