Error #422 – on order-pay page (paying later)

  • We have the scenario whereby our customers are sent a link (via a Follow Up email) to pay. They receive a link like this:

    [ redundant link removed ]

    If you select to pay with Afterpay they receive this error:

    Sorry, there was a problem preparing your payment. (Error #422: shipping.name address name is required., shipping.countryCode Valid Country Code is required.)

    At this stage there is no need for the customer to fill in address details as it is already captured by the Order. Please help! I have submitted this to help.afterpay.com but I am getting no replies.

    Hi @wattsyourwebsite,

    Thank you for your message.

    The shipping name and country are both missing in the Shipping address section at the top right of the Pay For Order page provided. These fields are required to complete the checkout with Afterpay.

    It has been noticed that they do, however, appear in the Shipping Details section at the bottom of the page. Is there by any chance any third party plugin installed on the website that might have altered the order shipping details?
