• Hi,
    We uploaded a very large graphics file for testing as a slider (we had problems with image sharpness) and activated it in the bootstrap slider. After that the website reacted with an http error 500.
    When activating twentyseventeen and evolve plus the website works without problems, after activating evolve (version: 3.9.7) the http error 500 occurs again.
    Afterwards we uploaded the theme completely via FTP (binary), without success.
    Also the hoster cannot solve the problem.
    What options do I have to make the website run again with evolve (I have saved the evolve settings)?

    Best regards,
    Hans-Gerd

    Same problem to me.
    I just made the update and after that in 3.9.7. i lost the backend. Cannot login to website and get almost everywhere 500 error.
    I uploaded my prev version 3.9.4. and everything works again perfect.
    What happended here???

    @romik84 i’ve renamed the new version via ftp to evolve1 so Romik tell me if you want to check it.

    @hage did you update the theme from an older previous version?
    the problem came to me after updating from 3.9.4. to 3.9.7.
    With 3.9.4. works perfect

    Hi @nickpapag,
    I have restored the previous version 3.9.4. Thank you very much for the tip.
    Now it runs again.
    @romik84: I just called the hoster who couldn’t find any error in the error.log.

    Best Regards,
    Hans-Gerd

    Romik the hosting for me is the greek school network so i cant view many things in backend.
    I can tell u that when updated i view my homepage ok, but when i start clicking posts and categories everywhere 500 error except the three posts that i uploaded today (if this gives u any idea)

    @nickpapag can you enable the debug to find out the issue? eg. https://www.000webhost.com/blog/fix-wordpress-500-internal-server-error/ it will display some errors so I have more clue what makes the issue. thanks

    Ok i’ll enable 3.9.7. and start checking

    thanks and sorry for any inconveniences

    @romik84
    As i said i renamed via ftp 3.9.7 to evolve1 and uploaded 3.9.4. as evolve.
    With 3.9.4. evolve runs perfect.
    I switched via wordpress backend in evolve1(3.9.7.) and although the customization lost, i have access without problem in the backend when i am login.
    But… when open in another browser (logout) i get 500 error.

    @romik84: Same issue here. No problems in backend, but in frontend getting 500 error (browser in private modus)

    Our (non-profit hobby org) WordPress instance is crashing this morning. I don’t know if it’s the same symptoms as an error 500, but I’ll post the stack dump here. If it’s different or unrelated to the error 500, I’ll start a new support thread.

    The crash stack trace is:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Kirki’ not found in /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-content/themes/evolve/inc/admin/customizer/customizer.php:1217 Stack trace: #0 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-content/themes/evolve/inc/admin/customizer/customizer.php(1142): evolve_call_customize_register() #1 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(286): evolve_load_the_theme_options(”) #2 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #3 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #4 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-settings.php(450): do_action(‘init’) #5 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-config.php(85): require_once(‘/home3/ab55505/…’) #6 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-load.php(37): require_once(‘/home3/ab55505/…’) #7 /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-blog-header.php(13): require_once(‘/home3/ab55505/…’) #8 /home3/ab55505/public_html/index.php(17): require(‘/home3/ab55505/…’) #9 {main} thrown in /home3/ab55505/public_html/wp-content/themes/evolve/inc/admin/customizer/customizer.php on line 1217

    Thanks for checking into this (if resolving this problem will take a while, I’ll need to FTP upload an older version of Evolve, I assume).

    Try installing the Kirki Framework
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/kirki/

    I found this from the theme forum: https://theme4press.com/support/topic/upcoming-version-of-evolve-based-on-kirki-framework/
