• after “Smart Slider” and “Autoptimize” as well as “WP Super Cache” worked without problems for a long time, I now get the error “500” for non-logged in site users and the images are not displayed as sliders, but statically one below the other.

As soon as I turned off the Java Script optimization, the site worked perfectly again. I then excluded “Smart Slider” from the Java optimization according to the instructions on https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1976-cache-or-minification and also excluded the files mentioned in the CSS optimization. I also adopted the other settings mentioned for “Autoptimize” and “WP Super Cache”.

Unfortunately, without success, the slider images are displayed incorrectly and the error “500” is reported. That’s why I deactivated the Java Script optimization again. Are there any other possible solutions?

All applications are up to date, the PHP version is 8.1.

    Best wishes

    Ralf

not sure how I changed the merging logic (approx. 2 years ago I switched default from “aggregate JS” to “don’t aggregate but defer”), but good the dev is aware and working on a fix.

feel free to tell them they can always contact me if they need my feedback on something! ??

did DSVGO Pixelmate developers issue an update and does that indeed fix the problem ralf58 ?

    Thank you for asking!
There was a small update from Pixelmate, but that didn’t change the problem. Pixelmate also announces a complete rework.
I had carried out a few more experiments with exclusions from JavaScript optimization and also excluded further minimization under “More options”. But if JavaScript optimization is activated, the slider will still be incorrect, i.e. H. shown one above the other.
As soon as JavaScript optimization is possible again without errors, I will report.

maybe try rolling back to an older version of pixelmate?
