Error 500 on update to 2.2.2

I am also having a similar issue, i have installed woocommerce for the first time on my website, i have used the same theme before for another site and it works fine (only did this last week). When i install the theme i get the internal server error 500 it goes through to the activation page but even without activating it i am still getting this error.

Have you checked your error logs? That might provide some clues. Turn on debug once your site is stable and try it again.

Try go to WordPress admin > Configuration > Permalinks and click in the save button twice.
