Hey Fionavar,

Does the log directory (/wp-content/plugins/rvg-optimize-database/logs/) exist on the server?
If yes, what are the permissions of that folder?

In that case creating the directory apparently is the issue…

Must be some server setting.
You could try to create the folder yourself.

Errr… 770 or so (just as a test)

411 also should be enough:
owner: read + write
group: read
other: read

Okay created directory with 411 setting and still received this:

This never caused problems before. At least, no one reported a problem about this.
Just tested it again myself and the log file is being created without any problems.

I have no idea what else you could try. It clearly states it’s a ‘Permission denied’ error.

Okay – but the plugin seems to be working others wise. Should I choose ‘executable’ as an option under Owner?

Not necessarily… My setting is 411 and it works fine.

Got it – copied setting from JEtPack Logs /dir = 705

So, it works now?

Yep – well it was working – just no errors now
