Error

  • After installing the latest version of the plugin, my site creates the following error-message:

    Warning: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in Unknown on line 1 in /home/nabelevi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/vendor/browscap/browscap-php/src/phpbrowscap/Browscap.php on line 769

    Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to phpbrowscap\Browscap::resortProperties() must be of the type array, boolean given, called in /home/nabelevi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/vendor/browscap/browscap-php/src/phpbrowscap/Browscap.php on line 809 and defined in /home/nabelevi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/vendor/browscap/browscap-php/src/phpbrowscap/Browscap.php on line 867

    removal of the plugin fixed it, but re-installing created the same error.

    I use PHP version: 5.6.18

  • Friends, Please temporary disable Browscap in your settings, while we are working on this issue,
    May be it prevent that fatal error

    So I logged on to my site and was uploading a video and doing some cleanup. I ended up deleting some unverified users that were suspect. A while after doing that, I happened to be looking at a page from my website and I noticed that the error at the bottom was not there. I proceeded to upgrade back to the latest wp-statistics plugin and did a test. Everything is working now. Can’t figure out why though to know what to tell the other users what to do to fix it.

    How can I disable Browsercap in WP-statistic? Updates on Browsercaps are disabled.

    Hello,

    it is under “externe quellen” which means external Sources.

    There you can deselect “browscap.ini verwenden:” which means “Don′t use browscap.ini”

    When i deselect that, page goes online

    I didn’t know you could disable browscap. That’s what was throwing the error? What does that do anyway?

    Hello dbemowsk,

    I′m not an expert, but it has something to do with recognizing robots. This should prevent the statistic from being negatively effect due to robots.

    Curious if you all are running Woocommerce on the sites that break?

    The only site I’ve had go to a 500 error had Woo on it.

    Might be something else, too. Maybe it would help to post our installed themes and plugins to see if we can narrow this down?
