Error after activation on the plugin settings page

    after activating the plugin i’m getting this error log on the top of the plugin settings page:

    Notice: Undefined index: mode in /Users/miasamacmini/10Sites/miasapro/wp-content/plugins/members-import/members-import.php on line 39

    Notice: Undefined variable: html_message in /Users/miasamacmini/10Sites/miasapro/wp-content/plugins/members-import/members-import.php on line 153

    is this normal? is it safe to proceed?
