Error after installation

    After activating the plug-in the following error message shows up on the wp-ticker settings page at Plugins > WP-Ticker

    Warning: opendir(/var/sites/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-ticker/modules/) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /var/sites/public_html/content/plugins/wp-ticker/wp-ticker.php on line 402

    Warning: readdir() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /var/sites/public_html/content/plugins/wp-ticker/wp-ticker.php on line 404

    Any idea how to solve this?

    Sorry, that problem must be caused by the wp download.
    Please make sure, that the directory modules/ exists in …/plugins/wp-ticker/. Also it should contain a file called Troller.php.
    If not, please create the directory “modules“. After doing so, go to wp-ticker’s download page https://wp-ticker.stegasoft.de/downloads/. There you’ll find a link called “Troller runterladen“. Download “Troller”, rename the file to “Troller.php” and put it in the directory modules.
    I think that should resolve your problem.

    I’ve checked and both modules directory and troller.php.

    I’ve deleted and re-installed the plugin but I keep getting the same error message.

    Could it have something to do with ‘hard coding’ wp-content directory in some of the code? Many people rename that directory in wp-config.php file

    OK, that could be the reason. I never thought of renaming the wp-content directory.
    Update will come as soon as possible.
