Error after posting new FAQ

    Hi,

    everytime I create a new FAQ post I’ll get this message on a blank page:

    Why this? And what can I do to fix it?

    Hi maxosh,

    Could you please try disabling WordPress debug mode and see if the plugin still shows those warnings? You could find the instructions to disable the WP_DEBUG mode here https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WP_DEBUG

    Hi,

    debug mode is off. The error occurs with rating-option-on, when I disable the rating-option the error does not appear anymore. Seems that the error is in the middle of the plugin.

    What to do now?

    Hi Max,

    Could you please enable “FAQ ratings” and test a few settings to find out the reasons that could be causing this?
    If you navigate to the “FAQs” tab and click on an FAQ, do you see a box titled “FAQ Details” just below the answer box? Please make sure that “Up Votes” & “Down Votes” are either empty or contain only numeric vales, please check for all the FAQs and see if this fixes the issue?

    Hi,

    FAQ ratings is enabled and yes I see the FAQ Details Box and I checked all FAQs the fields are either empty or filled with numeric values.

    We checked out the link you sent and it all seems to be working correctly now. Is there anywhere the error is still occurring for you?

    yes, the same error message, see above, is still occurring when I save a new FAQ.

    I discovered that, when I activate the ratings, the error-message occurs, when I deactivate it, everything is fine. So the rating ist the problem.

    Then, judging by the error, the issue would seem to be that, either currently or at one point, something was messed up with the FAQ ratings. Did you ever make use of the FAQ ratings on the site (i.e. did you click the thumbs up or thumbs down for certain FAQs)?

    Try enabling the the FAQ ratings, then creating a brand new FAQ and brand new FAQ category. Assign the new FAQ to the new category. Then create a new page and display only that new FAQ category (so that one FAQ is the only FAQ to show on the new page). Do you still get the warnings on that new page with only the one new FAQ on it?
