I’ve just started using WooCustomize on a few sites and this has happened every time upon installation.

I’m able to install and activate the plugin just fine. But upon Activation, there’s a large three column widget that appears at the top of the Dashboard that says “Thanks for installing..” and promotes your other products.

As soon as I click Dismiss in the upper right corner, the page just goes blank. I notice it adds a string on the end of the URL, so in order to get back to my dashboard, I just remove everything after /wp-admin/. I’m sure that’s not intended to function that way.

I’d be willing to help you troubleshoot. Just tell me what information you need me to provide. I’m installing this on the latest version of WordPress and WooCommerce as well as having numerous other plugins installed.

    Hi @arkansasben

Is this definitely WooCustomizer that is doing this?

I ask because WooCustomizer does have an after install notice, but it doesn’t promote our other products, it only has help links for WooCustomizer.

But yes, please contact me at support[@]kairaweb[.]com and I’ll help to sort this issue out if it is WooCustomizer ??

    Thanks

I’m 100% confident it’s the WooCustomizer plugin. It has happened every time I installed the plugin and then immediately dismissed the notice.

I may be incorrect about it promoting other products. I see it’s a notice, glance at it and determine it’s not necessary and then hit Dismiss. Just like so many others.

Does the WooCustomizer after install notice have three columns of text/information?

I’ll email you directly to hopefully prevent this from happening to others.

I’d like to fix this in the next update.

I’m seeing this issue with the latest version too, did you find the cause?

    Hi @ttoaster

I will look into this… It shouldn’t be doing that.

    Thanks
