    Can I delete certain files or update them via FTP to resolve this problem? I can not login to my admin account due to this problem.

    Same problem.
    Actually I deactivated it by renaming folder

    Renaming the folder helped. Thanks.
    Instantly deleted the plugin for all my sites.

    Sorry to all who have this issue. I am not sure why it happens and why only to some of you, but 1.7.0.1 (just uploading) contains a quick fix.

    Thanks
    Thomas

    Looking forward to this fix-update. I have the same problem. How much time will it take?

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in plugins/advanced-ads/admin/class-advanced-ads-admin.php on line 231

    renamed the folder.. was the way if anyone get into this mess.
    Because of the problem many may removed this plugin.

    hope the update doesn’t put us in panic mode..

    Since no one replied on this urgent matter I suppose that this is really fixed now.

    Sorry again for the inconvenience and thank you for reporting it so quickly!

    i have the same eeor afther i update this plugin
    here is the error that i got when i tried to log in to my admin login page
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /hermes/walnaweb13a/b2521/pow.callarabic4/htdocs/amazon-new/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/admin/class-advanced-ads-admin.php on line 231

    I had the same error – it locked me out of my website and my admin panel.

    I went into the ftp and commented out the following lines:

    //		$screen = get_current_screen();
    		//echo $screen->id;
    //		if( !isset( $screen->id ) ) {
    //			return false;
    //		}

    And it let me back in.

    If I update, will it still fix the issue even though I’ve made changes to the php file? or should I delete and do a clean install? I have around 60 ad settings though and really don’t want to re-enter them all lol.

    @xenokittten,

    I applied a similar fix with 1.7.0.1 so you are save to use that version.

    Upgrading to 1.7.0.1 will not do any damage to your ad settings that aren’t already done. I am not saying this because I expect problems, but if you have them, I would definitely like to learn details at [email protected].

    Thanks
    Thomas

    My plugins update automatically with the JetPack feature so now I have lots of sites which are down. I can’t access wp-admin.

    Would the auto update plugin feature update Advanced Ads to 1.7.0.1 on it’s own or it wouldn’t work because wordpress.com doesn’t have access to wp-admin?

    Will I have no choice to update each site manually?

    Thanks

    Hi Arnaud,

    I am almost sure that the automatic update will not work with the site down like this and you have to update manually this time.

    Automatic updates where part of the problem in this case and 1.7.0.1 fixed that.

    Thanks
    Thomas
