error after update

  • after update Catch Kathmandu there is an error:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_script_add_data() in /home/hsrakker/domains/hsrakkersarendonk.be/public_html/wp-content/themes/catch-kathmandu/inc/catchkathmandu-functions.php on line 113

    when I delete the next line, de website is runnning but the layout is all messed up
    wp_script_add_data( ‘catchresponsive-html5’, ‘conditional’, ‘lt IE 9’ );

    also inable to update wordpress, I’m afraid that i tryed so much , that I messed up a lot of things ??

    I also know realise to forgot to make a child theme ??

    It looks like you are using WP version less than 4.2. Please try to upgrade your WordPress version asap. We usually do not provide support for WP version less than 2 version prior to current version.(E,g: as current version is 4.5, we only provide backward compatibility till 4.3).

    Also, security wise, you site is at a huge risk of getting hacked.

    If automatic update of WP fails, try updating it manually. Check this.

    Sometimes, some servers block automatic updating. Contacting them might also solve your issue.

    Update Failed: Update package not available. Error message in red shows on the update page after updating to the latest version of Catch Kathmandu Pro update theme page in CampTimlo.org Web page. Update not allowed. I have not been active on this site for some time and only recently updated to the latest WordPress version prior to update attempt on the theme.

    @drdankoenig: You are using pro version of the theme, so update process is a bit different. Please checkout https://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-kathmandu-pro/#updating for detailed info on updating your pro theme.

    The instructions worked like a charm but two weeks ago the page went back to the old setup with ad front page and will not let me update as before. The same Update Failed: Update package not available appears when I attempt to update to the latest version. The scroll is now missing and the featured images for the Catch Kathmandu and featured images with “buy now” are now showing. I can’t get into the Appearance => Customize => It gives a Google error message on my screen instead of the usual options. I’m again dead in the water…camptimlo.org Need help again. Was there an update in the past few weeks? We had it repaired…then I went on vacation to Florida and and poof! Changes all gone. Ad taken over the front page.
