    Hi @davil2008

Yeah, that’s what I was getting yesterday (before the message I sent), I was able to subscribe, received the confirmation email and when I clicked to confirm I got that same issue.

So it’s still the same issue, the change didn’t affect it.

We’re back to the error logs. You’ll need to log in to the control panel on your hosting provider’s website and find the error logs in there.

Once you do, try the subscription confirmation link so you can get the error and then open up the error logs, check the latest error logs it shows and let me know what they are.

OK, I will. And also, when I tried to subscribe I got the error right away, and wasn’t able to subscribe and get the confirmation link.

OK, I think I accessed the logs but the only thing I got was this : ( justcook.co.il is an addon domain and the primary domain is vilenchik.net )

    ?e?’_justcook.vilenchik.net

and I wanted to say that there were two domain associated with justcook.vilenchik.net :
    justcook.vilenchik.net and justcook.vilenchik.net (ssl)

I am sorry, the actual code changed when I sent the reply, due to the unusual shapes. the code looked liked this :

    Four squares – e – one square – ‘_ – two squares – justcook.vilenchik.net – eleven squares.

and a clarification, what I sent is called on my hostgator Cpanel Raw access. There is also a error log that is called errors, and says that it shows “the last 300 errors for your site”, but there’s nothing there.

You’ll need to contact the hosting provider’s support and ask them about the error log, tell them it’s showing empty but there are supposed to be errors in there because a “500 internal server error” shows up on the website which must be caught and stored in the error log.

    (@davil2008)

I’ll remind there’s also the justcook.vilenchik.net (ssl) version that I can check, maybe it has different errors.

I don’t want to send you them here because of the changes made, and my dropbox’s full. any suggestions ?

I just checked the errors section that was empty before and it writes this about 10 times :

    [Mon Aug 03 23:58:02.763271 2020] [authz_core:error] [pid 97445:tid 139913223091968] [client 23.245.153.125:40393] AH01630: client denied by server configuration: /home3/jeshv80/justcook.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/index.php, referer: https://justcook.co.il/

    Hi @davil2008

That error would mean that for some reason the server blocked a request. But that’s a “wide error” that doesn’t help in narrowing down what might be the issue.

But it’s probably not related to this specific issue, the URL in there shows the media uploads directory for June 2020 (uploads/2020/06/), there’s no correlation between that and our plugin.

I’ll remind there’s also the justcook.vilenchik.net (ssl) version that I can check, maybe it has different errors.

Your website loads over SSL (https), so please check the error log there as well.

    Thread Starter Daniel

    (@davil2008)

OK, I will. But can you refer exactly which logs you want to check, and perhaps how to access them in Hostgator Cpanel ?

    Thread Starter Daniel

    (@davil2008)

I also now saw this note in the raw logs, so maybe we should check again the subscription so the error will get into the error log :

Raw logs may only contain a few hours worth of data because they are discarded after the system processes them. If archiving is enabled, the system archives the raw log data before the system discards it.

    Hi @davil2008

The “raw access log” is basically a log of every request, no errors there.

The “error log” is where the errors are located.

    https://www.hostgator.com/help/article/can-i-access-my-apache-log-files

The “error log” shouldn’t be cleared after a certain period of time, it should always show the last 300 errors, no matter how old.

And it’s very rare that the error log is empty. If it is empty then check the one for the SSL version.

I am not sure I am accessing the right files, because the article you sent me is either very old or it’s not based on my theme. This is the title for what I now checked :
Last 300 Error Log messages in reverse order:
however, the errors are empty, and don’t have a ssl and none ssl version, all the errors should be in the line.

    Hi @davil2008

The article is the official HostGator (your hosting) documentation showing where error logs is located, but it might be outdated, can’t say for sure.

Since we can’t find the errors the only thing left is for you to contact the hosting provider support about the issue and ask them to check what exact error shows as the cause of the issue.

    (@davil2008)

OK,I will contact them and report.
