Error authenticating user on Target: Unable to authenticate on Target site.

  • When it works, it’s almost great. Images don’t copy over, that’s understandable but it isn’t mentioned before you purchase. I’m trying to migrate sites away from a multisite installation and being able to take individual pages or the whole site is attractive. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as expected most of the time. I don’t know if it’s an error from using a multisite but I frequently can’t utilize the plug-in because “Error authenticating user on Target: Unable to authenticate on Target site.” It’s a multisite, all the logins and password are the same. It seems like this will be great once it works consistently but, not being able to use it consistently for it’s intended purpose is a drag.

    Thanks for your feedback! WPSiteSync does work with MultiSite and it is supposed to be copying over images when synchronizing content as well. There may be something else in your configuration which is causing a conflict.
