I’ve tried all the options in the troubleshooting pages. Deactivated, removed and reinstalled Jetpack. Removed and reinstalled the entire WordPress installation.

And contacted my Hosting provider, who said that Jetpack sould be able to connect to my website without any problems.

Any thoughts/ideas/solutions?

Weird… But maybe some help to someone:

Decided to deinstall Jetpack again, and tried to install is via the large “install Jetpack now” button on the Jetpack.com website, instead of via de plugins section of my own WordPress website.

That worked… Don’t know why.

I am facing the same issue.

@manoj Sethi Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately, access to that file appears to be restricted at the moment:

Your hosting provider appears to be blocking some of the requests made to that file, most likely with a firewall or security rules implemented with tools like ModSecurity. We receive a 406 error when trying to communicate with your site via that file.

Could you contact your hosting provider, and ask them if it’s possible to remove some of those rules?
