    Hi,

I’m a Yoast SEO Pro user and with the latest Woocommerce update, my site got broken by the plugin. Here’s what shows the automated email from my WordPress setup.

    WordPress version 5.6.1
    Current theme: Flatsome (version 3.13.1)
Current plugin: Yoast SEO (version 15.8)
    PHP version 7.4.14

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 15 of the file /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-meta-columns.php. Error message: Cannot declare class WPSEO_Meta_Columns, because the name is already in use

I’ve tried re-uploading the Yoast files to my plugin folder, but it’s still not working.

  • Hi @freddre,

You have access to premium support by email, so for questions about Yoast premium products, we ask you to contact our support team directly.

According to the forum guidelines, we’re not able to answer questions about our premium products here, unfortunately.

I’ve sent an email hours ago and received no reply yet.
Also, I don’t think it’s related to the premium version since the error shows that is from the regular version.

    Hi @freddre

We apologize if you’ve contacted our support team but haven’t received a response yet. We should be able to get back to you soon.

However, based on the error information that you provided, we are aware of an issue when you have Yoast SEO Premium 15.8 (activated), Yoast SEO Free 15.8 (installed but not activated), and AMP for WP (activated).

The temporary workaround would be to uninstall the free version of Yoast SEO for WordPress. We’ve already reported this issue to AMP for WP, and you can subscribe to the issue on GitHub here for any updates as the fix will be coming from their end.

Yes, I’m also using AMP for WP.

I’ll wait for the update fixing the issue from them.

    Thank you for your reply

I took your advice @mikes41720 and deactivated my free Yoast SEO 15.8 but that caused more errors on my website. I then tried to reinstall the free SEO plugin, still breaking my site, deactivated both the free and premium plugins and issues still occurring.

I’ve emailed to support about 5 hours ago and not a word back.

    Not cool.

AMP for WP made their update and after turning off the debug in my wp-config file, looks like everything is back to normal.
