Error: card declined

    I have installed Stripe on my website and made several successful test payments. But when I switch to live mode and try with real credit or debit cards I keep getting the same message: Error: card declined.

    What can I do? I have been through dozens of forums and tried all the things they suggest, to no avail.

    This is very frustrating for sure as I want to make my website live/public but cannot with a functioning payment gateway.
