I need help with the error changeset_post_save_failure.
This appears every time I want to change anything of the theme customization: menus, footer, etc.
    Thanks

  • Hi, isabel230721, I am another user of the Neve theme.

Please try using the “Health Check” plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ to determine the issue.

In the troubleshooting tab, you can disable all plugins and have the theme changed while logged in; visitors will see the website as if the plugin(s) and/or theme wasn’t changed.

Please try deactivating all the plugins to determine whether a plugin is at fault.

    Hello @isabel230721 ,

    Thank you for choosing Neve!

The suggestion made by @plantprogrammer is a great one. First, we need to see if there is a plugin issue by deactivating all of them, then activating one by one whilst checking to see if the issue persists.

If that doesn’t work we can troubleshoot further!

Please let us know how that worked for you!

Thank you and have an amazing day!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll try them all

I have found various discussions on the “changeset_post_save_failure” problem, but no identified solutions.
I also had the problem and with help from Site Ground support, actually solved it for my case. I am building a woocommerce site and suddenly could not make any changes from the customizer (e.g. Additional CSS etc), instead got “changeset_post_save_failure”.
The solution was to increase the AUTO_INCREMENT value to 9999, for the _posts table of the wordpress database. The solution is described here, albeit for a different but related problem:
    https://www.siteground.com/kb/fix-wordpress-image-upload-problems/

Hope this helps, it was a real roadblock!

    Hi, @bluewave99!

Thank you for sharing your solution to this issue!

    Have a great day!

i have this problem with NEVE theme.
    changeset_post_save_failure
when i try to change the footer

and when i try to change the header
i can’t to upload file because is
“unable to insert attachment into databas”

    Thanks

Did you try changing your AUTO_INCREMENT as described above?

    Hi @oxymoronsrl!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

As bluewave99 already mentioned, please try the solutions provided above by bluewave99 and Mat and check if the issue disappears this way.

    Have a nice day!

Thanks for the replies. I reset the permissions, but I haven’t solved the problem. I logged into PHPMYAdmin but I can’t find the Operations item. So I can’t change the value. Mine is a website and there are no POSTS.

Ok I’m in the Operations tab, but I can’t find the Options Table item. There are only CREATE Table, RENAME Database, COPY Database as, and ENCODE Characters. Thanks

    Hello @oxymoronsrl!

The issue may be caused by a plugin conflict. Please try to install the Health Check & Troubleshooting Plugin, enable the troubleshooting mode which will deactivate all plugins and check if the issue is solved this way. If the problem is solved, you can reactivate the plugins one by one until you find the one causing the issue and replace it with an alternative plugin.
If deactivating the plugins doesn’t help, please try to backup your site and make a fresh installation of WordPress.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a nice day!

Thank you all for your cooperation, I did it. You have been of great help, thanks again

Wonderful, I’m glad everything works properly now! Thanks for letting us know!

Hi there, I am having the same “changeset_post_save_failure” issue in my NEVE theme.
I just did some simple stuff to my footer and now i cannot delete the footer. The error message pops up every time.

I have deactivated all plugins and the error is still there.

Does anyone have any other solutions that worked?

    Thank you

    Hi @philip06!

In cases when there is no plugin conflict causing this issue, making a backup of your site and a fresh installation of Neve, or in case this doesn’t help, of WordPress itself helps. This issue appears only on some edge cases and usually disabling the plugins in search of a plugin conflict or making a fresh installation of WordPress fixes the problem. Please keep in mind that is very important to make a backup before committing to any important changes on your site.

    I hope this helps!
