• I recently migrated my website from an older server on Godaddy to a newer server. After doing this, when I log into my admin panel on wordpress i get an error code of the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_menu_page() in /home/palmstead01/public_html/Gilbertnewhomesreview.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-admin.php on line 117

I know its’s a plug in issue, however I can’t even get into my admin panel to remove the plugin.

I image that I need to re-install wordpress, however I don’t want to make any move until I understand exactly what to do. Any suggestions

    Thanking you in advance

using FTP or the file manager on the GD control panel, rename delete wp-conten/plugins/wordpress-seo. That will disable the plugin and let you back into your site.

I did as you said and after every correction, I went through a list of every plug in having an error as I deleted one at a time. It eventually gave an error in the theme etc. the further I deleted, the more it shut down the site. I reinstalled the old files and the web site is working again. However I am right back to where I was in the beginning.

any other suggestions, as I can’t work the admin part and can’t update or edit

    Thanks

What are the other errors you got?

    Thread Starter Palmstead

    (@palmstead)

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_theme_page() in /home/palmstead01/public_html/Gilbertnewhomesreview.com/wp-content/themes/simple-catch/functions/panel/theme_options.php on line 38

This is a theme error code. I have no way of entering my control panel to delete, reload any plug ins or the themes.

    Any suggestions further?

Do you have FTP access or cpanel access to the site? If so, you can delete the theme directory wp-content/themes/simple-catch, which will cause WordPress to fall back to the twentysixteen theme, if installed.

I did that and got this error code

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_submenu_page() in /home/palmstead01/public_html/Gilbertnewhomesreview.com/wp-admin/menu.php on line 189

You clearly have larger issues. I’d upload a new copy of WordPress over what you migrated from GoDaddy and also remove anything in wp-content/mu-plugins (where GoDaddy) installs stuff.

i have back up copies of the site prior to the migration and these issues. The back up is on my computer and I have access through the cpanel. Can I re-install a backed up version?

You can, though it depends on how it was backed up.
