This is the error message I am getting on my home page – plus I cannot login at wp-admin. The ‘personalpower’ is a subdirectory that used to contain another installation of wordpress so I really don’t know why this error is referring to that subdirectory unless the databases have somehow got muddled in together. (The reason I mention this is that under that database name there are two sets of tables with different prefixes – one is wp1_options (etc) and the other is wp_options (etc). Does this sound messed up or normal? … Update – I deleted the wp-options tables and all seems fine – except for the login problem and the problem below: Many thanks

Warning: include(/home/lantaubuffalo/public_html/personalpower/system/libraries/javascript.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/lantaubuffalo/public_html/wp-config.php on line 40

  • Hello, Katie, & welcome to the WordPress support forum. The error seems actually to be flagging line 40 of your wp-config.php file. Please do not post it in its entirety here, as that file contains database credentials, & this is a very public forum (Yes, I’ve had that happen when I’ve been communicating w/folks, so I make certain to warn them now), but you might wish to look at your wp-config.php file & see if there’s a line 40 & what it might contain. If you do decide to post the wp-config.php file, then please, pretty please, substitute generic names, i.e., db name, “mydb” or something similar so that your real credentials aren’t revealed. Hopefully I’ve made myself clear, but, if not, please ask prior to posting anything that might contain credentials. The moderators are real sweethearts about redacting that kind of stuff, however, those w/less than honorable intentions can get to such postings before a moderator can in some instances, & one never knows if/when that’s occurred.

Hi – Thank you so much. Line 40 appears to say stuff like this:

” * Change these to different unique p*/”\x2fhom\x65/la\x6etau\..etc….”;/*hrases!

Hopefully not giving away too much information???

Katie, if that’s what it actually says, I don’t like the sound of that at all. For me it raises the possibility that this site may be compromised.

Could you please provide the site url?

    Hi

    Thank you
I kind of felt that this might be the case. I didn’t mention it but the site in the personalpower subdirectory also started behaving weirdly – i.e. couldn’t log in and couldn’t reset the password, then when I was copying the sub-directory to make a backup/copy folder it just disappeared.

    This is the site:
    https://www.me-management.net

Just delete and start again – but will it still be compromised?

    Thanks
