Not a great start investigating this plugin. Installed it (no errors), saved a snapshot (no errors), changed a single checkbox in on plugin (WPFusion) and then tried to compare the snapshot with the current tables. Received this error.

‘An error has occurred. Snapshot data has been compromised. Saved metadata does not match data in the DB. Contact WP Reset support if data is critical, or restore it via a MySQL GUI.”

I haven’t done anything else at all with the plugin (this was the first thing I tried, since it’s an important scenario for me).

    Running WordPress 5.2.4.

Any ideas on why this occurred and how to resolve.

I created another snapshot and now I receive the following when I try to compare it.

“An undocumented error has occurred. Please refresh the page and try again.”

So haven’t been able to do anything concrete with the plugin yet.

Hi, thank you for giving WPR a try. Sorry to hear you’re having problems ??

Can you please share the list of active plugins on that site?

Thank you for the response. I have deactivated all plugins except WP Reset but still receive this error. My theme is the latest version of Astra. I have tried with Trenty Nineteen, though, but the problem remains.

Thank you for testing that. So it’s not a conflict with any other plugins or the theme. That’s good and bad news in one ??

A new version of the plugin will be out either early Monday or Tuesday morning and will have some improvements in for snapshots. So hopefully that will fix it.

Aside from that, I have one more idea. When you do a compare, can you please open the console and see what the response for the AJAX request is? Is it a valid JSON object or are there some extra errors printed in the response. If you need more info on how to do that, let me know.

This error is reported in the debug log…

Failed opening required ‘../wp-content/plugins/wp-reset/libs/Diff/SequenceMatcher.php’ (include_path=’.:’) in /…/wp-content/plugins/wp-reset/libs/diff.php on line 174

Also found this earlier in the debug log.

Cannot declare class Diff, because the name is already in use in /home/xxx/webapps/xxx/wp-content/plugins/wp-reset/libs/diff.php on line 46

By the way, after finding these errors I deleted and downloaded/activated the plugin again, but the problem remains. The error above occurred when I first installed the plugin but not since, even though it’s been deleted and installed again since.

Thank you for the detailed report!

Good news – the “Cannot declare class Diff” has already been fixed! It’s in this next release. We’re putting finishing touches on it. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s out.

The other bug, with the missing file. Not quite sure what to tell you ?? File is definitely in the plugin ZIP and we haven’t heard any other reports on it. And since you reinstalled … even if it broke the first time it should have unpacked properly. I’ll have my colleague have a look, and circle back to you ASAP.

Thank you. Very eager to try this out properly, so I look forward to the update.

I, too, was / am confused by the missing file, since I see it exactly where I would expect it to be. I have no explanation of that.

    Thank you again.

    Found the other bug!!!
In 2 years nobody saw it or reported ??

Will let you know once we have the new version up.

Thank you. Can you give me a rough idea of how long we’re looking at? I purchased the LTD (5 sites) but 3 days in haven’t been able to use the plugin yet, so hope to have a good chance to use and assess your plugin.

    Thank you.

This is the free version, not PRO. Completely different code-base …
For everything PRO related please email us and our support staff will help you ASAP.

Update for free will be available tomorrow.

Thank you. I was assuming there was some commonality and this is my first exposure to your app. I will write to support about the Pro version.

    Thank you.

In general, commonality – yes. But in this particular case – not that much ??

    You’re welcome ????
