Have read and re-read the instructions with the installation and carefully followed them. Here is the report I get with Test Config

    Connect to Mail Host
    Postie connection: sockets
    Postie protocol: imap-ssl
    Postie server: imap.gmail.com
    Postie port: 993
Unable to connect. The server said: There was an error connecting to the server Connection timed out

Hoping this is something simple that I have overlooked. I have read other similar threads on this forum, but no success in finding a solution.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Likely your hosting company does not allow outbound connections. GoDaddy in particular does this. See also https://postieplugin.com/faq/postie-wont-connect-mailserver/

If you are using GoDaddy, set up an email using the CPanel option and then get the Nameserver from the Manual setup area of the GoDaddy account. I also had to choose sockets to get mine to work. If you are using GoDaddy. take a snap shot of your Postie general setup page and post it.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. I am using Blue Host, but it appears to have a similar setup to GoDaddy. If I am reading Blue Host documentation correctly, it limits available ports for shared IPs. If I pay extra for a dedicated IP, all ports are then open. Will try to adapt LesTexas60 GoDaddy solution to Blue Host before trying a dedicated IP.
