• Hello, how are you?

For some months now I’ve identified a problem when uploading a photo in Ultimate Member.

At first I even thought it was caused by WP Super Cache, but even with the cache disabled the error persists. I did all the testing procedures, uninstalling all the plugins and themes, but the error remains unfortunately.

When the user is going to upload the profile photo or cover photo, the option to crop the image does not always appear.

When this happens in the profile photo, when saving the upload the image disappears and the profile gets an image of only one color (various colors).

When this happens on the profile cover, the picture becomes larger than the space available to it, messing up the profile.

    How can I resolve this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi @bazzarello and @janamparikh777,

Do you have the latest 1.3.88 version of the Ultimate member installed?
Have you tried to replicate this issue on the default WordPress theme?

    Regards.

    Hi!

Yes I have the latest version of the plugin installed.

Yes, I have the latest version of UM.

On the issue of the theme, I believe that is not the problem, because in previous versions of UM it worked normally.

For my theme, I use the Live Composer plugin.

    Hi @bazzarello and @janamparikh777,

Have you tried to do a conflict test by disabling all plugins except ULtimate member and testing image uploads once again?
Please also check developers console of your browser for any errors.

    Regards.

    (@bazzarello)

Yes, I did all the tests.

The Image plugins I use are:
    – WP Image Utils
    – Video Thumbnails
    – Resize Image After Upload
    – PNG to JPG

The Cache and Minify plugins I use are:
    – WP Super Cache
    – Better WordPress Minify

I tested the cache and minify disabled, but the error also remained.

What I discovered after many tests, is that this error happens when large images are sent (above 1mb for example). I left UM configured for uploados up to 10mb. That is, small files (30, 50kb) the crop tool works normally.

    Hi @bazzarello,

Can you please check your browser’s developers console while trying to upload an image and let me know if you have any errors there.

    Regards.

    Hi Friend,

    Thanks for the feedback!

Yes! I can! How do I do that?

Hello, I am unable to crop images (for header) after upload. I have tried 3 different browsers, have tried clearing all caches, have tried deactivating all installed plugins. Also, I am *sometimes* unable to upload images into the Media Library (maybe it has something to do with too small file size?). I am running the Astrid theme. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

    Hello @gfrcoffee,

I discovered that the problem is in the javascript minify. That is, check your cache or minify plugins. Disable the minify option for the Ultimate Member javascripts.

@bazzarello, thanks. But I do not have any minify plugins, nor do I have Ultimate Member plugin.
