Thanks for including that system status log! I don’t see any obvious red flags.

It sounds like something is going wrong in between the payment plugin receiving the confirmation. That breaks the process and while the order status does get updated, the notification email doesn’t go out.

Which payment processor are you using? If you test with another payment processor, does the email work correctly?

yes, notification emails with other payment methods work correctly, for this reason it seems strange to me. If I’m not wrong, the notification emails work directly in WooCommerce on the change of order status.

With Sandbox the notification emails work, not in Production.

Thanks for explaining! So it sounds like there’s an issue with WooCommerce PayPal Checkout, where you’re seeing “Error during status transition. Invalid order. It’s only happening with this payment plugin; other payment plugins are working correctly.

I did some searching on our end and this is an issue that can come up with any payment gateway – in general, it seems to be related to conflicts on that specific site. Either way, I wasn’t able to replicate this on my end.cof

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
