Hi all.

Something strange happened to me while editing an entry. Suddenly I got the following error:

“The publisher has encountered an unexpected error”

The text of the error is that I reproduce below.

It was enough to deactivate the Gutenberg plugin, version 9.9.1 for everything to work again.

The website has WordPress 5.6.1 installed and works with Genesis 3.3.3 and a child called htheme version 1.1.1 from Asithemes

Hello,

Same issue for me with Gutenberg 10.x , an Astra theme and WordPress 5.6.2

I’ve got the same files impacted but the error message does NOT show the first line:
TypeError: Cannot read property ‘ownerDocument’ of undefined

Not able to create new pages, or editing pages created with gutenberg.

So, as you, I deactivated the plugin Gutenberg 10.x and I use the one which is built in wordpress. Doing this, it works.

Update to WordPress 5.7 and see if that helps. (Create a backup first.)
You could also create a support post here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/astra/

You can also create a bug issue on Github. Where you go through the steps it mentions, so that Gutenberg developers can get a good report on what is going on.
