Error Establish Database Connection?

I know that people have written about this before, but I’m having this issue as well. My website <https://newyorkstateofsports.com&gt; has been successfully up and running for the last two months. I have not modified or changed anything in the last week. However, when I opened the page last night, I received the ‘Error Establishing a database connection’. I checked the MySQL file and it matched up with my config file. I called my host(GoDaddy) and they said that they were having an issue with the server. 12 hours later and my site is still down. Does anyone have any recommendations? I want to make sure that this is a server problem before I go hacking up my Admin panel.
