Error establishing a database connection

  • I am trying to install WordPress 2.0.4, I followed the instructions carefully but get stuck with this error message wehn I try to install.

    My laptop:Windows xp
    Server: apache1.3.37
    MySQL: 4.0.27
    PHP: 4.3.11
