Error establishing a database connection

    I just switched from F8 Theme to F8 Lite theme from within the WP UI and promptly got the following error.

    I cannot now switch back to the F8 Theme and the blog is now non-existent on a web browser. “Error Establishing a Connection”.

    Thanks for any help.

    Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at sql5c40a.carrierzone.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?
    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

  • Have you tried contacting your hosts? Perhaps they currently have a problem with their MySql server?

    I am contacting them.

    But I spent all morning – and all of the previous week – working on F8 Static and the minute I switch the Theme to F8 Lite it’s busted….

    I’ve never come across a theme that affected the database connection before, so I doubt that the theme caused this.
