Error establishing a database connection

  • I’m trying to install a WP site on my boss’ server. From what I can see, I’ve done everything right on my end. His Web host is WP compatible, the database is created, the names and passwords correspond to the config file, and I’ve given all the wP files and directories the right permissions. But the database and the WP file still aren’t connecting. I’ve left a message with tech support, but is there anything else I can do on my end?

    The tech support page suggested that I replaced ‘localhost’ with ‘[email protected]’, but that doesn’t work. They wrote that I should try ‘localhost’ again, but that doesn’t work, either.
