Error establishing Dbase

  • I get this message
    the Database that WP is trying to connect to doesn’t exist.
    I have looked in config file and the info looks correct for the database that should be used
    Why does WP try to connect to a database I don’t think exist??
    message states

    Username and password are correct for DB Xyz, but Xyz doesn’t exist

    Any help appreciated, (I am a non-techy)

    If you check via PHPMYADMIN (or mysql command line tools), does the database exist on the specified database server?

    Hi Steve thanks for the reply

    I am with Host Europe and they aren’t very helpful
    How can I check via PHPMYADMIN ??

    Host Europe informed me that the changes were made vis Ftp on 10/04.
    I don’t think I can get onto the db as I think someone there set it up in a way I can’t even find the bd

    I don’t know how your host sets up its control panels, so you really need to talk to them about it.
