  • Same problem here today. I have a blog with many articles and this is currently the only solution. Hopefully this add-on will work out soon.

Mismo problema. Nadie tiene una solución?

Same issue here two days in a row. Any update on when this will be fixed???

SAme issue here intermittently … but only managed to import 10 out of 2000 posts.

Yes I am able to import 20 of 2000, after several hours. This plugin usually works great so this is so frustrating when clients depend on timely service!

    Hi everyone,

We’re aware of this issue and are looking for a fix. It seems that the 10k API limit from Google is being drained faster than usual at the moment. That’s all we know so far.

In the meantime, you can keep trying to use the plugin as it is working intermittently.

Sorry for any inconvenience. This is a free plugin, so we are limited in what we can do regarding Google API quotas. Our goal is to continue providing this free plugin as long as possible, though we may need to start looking at upgrade options for larger blogs with many hundreds of posts, for example.

    Any thoughts/feedback welcome!

My only feedback would be that I would happily pay for a Pro version of this plugin if I could be assured it would work reliably!!

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback. We should have an answer/solution for this within the next couple of days.

Do you mind posting here in this thread when it is fixed?

Hi @jumpingjaxdesigns, yes certainly. We’ll post here with any updates.

We’re getting close to launching the new version.

Awesome, can’t wait! Checking back hourly lol.

Hi everyone, we’ve pushed update 2.0.0 now. This uses a new UI and process for importing. It’s a big change, so we hope you like it. Let us know either way!

The free version will work just as before, but now allows you to import up to 30 blog posts/pages. If you need to import more than this, you may wish to purchase the unlimited license instead. This also adds some handy extra options too.

We have simplified the import process to a single process so that it is much more stable. Previously the plugin would import posts, then pages, then comments, then images etc one after another which took a long time.

If you have any feedback you’re welcome to get in touch via this forum or email support[at]pipdig.zendesk.com. We’re looking at additional features such as automatic redirects and conversion to Gutenberg blocks, for example. Would this be useful? Are there any other plugins you use during a migration which we could incorporate into BIE as an “all in one” solution?

If you experience any issues with the new importer please let us know.

    Thanks!

thanks a lot for your fast support. may i know how much the unlimited license cost ??

@pipdig yes, those features would be valuable in a premium version. Blogger tends to add a bunch of junk HTML that doesn’t work well in blocks, so the conversion would be nice. Automatic redirects might be cleaner if you use something like Redirection or pushing them into htaccess, something that doesn’t require a license for the redirect.
