ERROR | Extension ‘yp’ is removed since PHP 5.1

  • Hi There,

    PHP compatibility plugin is bugly, I usee yp_ prefix for function names as yp_hello() but this plugin return an error. “Extension ‘yp’ is removed since PHP 5.1”

    Please fix this bug. Thank you!

  • Dear Waspthemes, I love the YP plugin and it has helped me improve my website in many ways.

    I am looking for help to sort out “errors” being signalled by the PHP Compatibility Checker plug-in that show that Yellow Pencil has some 230 errors, all similar to the following: “ERROR | Extension ‘yp’ is removed since PHP 5.1” (as mentioned above)
    These relating to lines in e.g. wp-content/plugins/yellow-pencil-vis…/library/php/panel.php – and many other .php files too
    I understood YP to be compatible with PHP 7.2 – which I need to upgrade from PHP 5.6 however this is preventing it?

    Is there any way of knowing how to resolve this without deactivating the Yellow Pencil plug-in totally?

    Hi Tostig,

    There is not have any PHP error in YellowPencil plugin. Unfortunately “PHP Compatibility Checker” plugin is bugly. I report this problem to PHP Compatibility Checker plugin’s author but I don’t get any response.

    YellowPencil safe and compatible with PHP 7.2. Feel free to upgrade PHP version as you want.
