Error: First Name syncing to Display Name

    The X-Profile field first_name is syncing to the wordpress Display Name field instead of the WordPress First Name field. How do I fix this. We want our display names on our site to display as first / last name however if we edit this it changes the xprofile first name to display also as first / last name and if we edit the xprofile first name it changes the display now for wp etc

    Hi,
    Have you followed the 4th step of the installation guide?

    4) Disable the default BuddyPress Profile Syncing option form “Settings > BuddyPress > Options”

    Anyway you cannot configure (atm) the display name with this plugin, this only syncs fields, the display name is a combination of fields managed by WordPress.

    That’s prefect thank you! I didn’t disable the setting sorry i didn’t see any installation instructions as i downloaded it direct from the WP plug ins menu option and just clicked the activate option. Thanks so much for your help ?? very much appreciated
