Error: General Error message when trying to subscribe via email

    I have just installed and set up a basic Mailchimp subscription via email form, and when I enter an email address and click submit, the error message that is set as the General Error message appears. My Mailchimp account is set up, API key entered, and List created in Mailchimp. WordPress appears to be communicating with Mailchimp since the name of the List appears in the Mailchimp settings. What am I doing wrong? PLEASE HELP! THANKS! The page is https://www.freedombytheword.com

    But when I try to subscribe I get the general error.

    Hello all,
    Same issue here. Details all set and connected, but get the general error message after submitting a valid email address. I tried experimenting with invalid emails to make sure I see the other error messages when appropriate, and I do.

    Is there a place to see error logs to help track down the issue?

    Hey all,

    Do you have a list to subscribe to selected in MailChimp for WP > Forms?

    Does that selected list require any other fields besides just the EMAIL field, and are those fields present in your form?

    Any additional details would be much appreciated. ??
