• After latest update I get this error on synchronization:

    Synchronisation

Starting sync. Memory usage: 30.5 MiB - Limit: 256.0 MiB

    Checking 360 files for changes...

    Current File: /2015/MAINCATEGORY/SUBCATEGORY/MYFILE.pdf

Fatal error: Class 'getid3_lib' not found in /web/htdocs/www.MYSITE.XYZ/home/wp-content/plugins/wp-filebase/classes/GetID3.php on line 42

This happens each time I sync: the files are inserted in the db, but it is quite annoying.
Files are uploaded via FTP and I disabled any ID3 scan as I do not upload media files, but documentation and software upgrades.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I’m seeing the same error, cannot add any new files to the database

I experienced the same problem after the upgrade.

Same problem here and also when I upload a new doc

Fatal error: Class ‘getid3_lib’ not found in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/wp-filebase/classes/GetID3.php on line 42

Same error message here. Happens when updating/replacing a file.

    Same problem:

Fatal error: Class 'getid3_lib' not found in /SERVERPATH/wp-content/plugins/wp-filebase-pro/classes/GetID3.php on line 52

Other posts here seem to suggest that WP-FILEBASE PRO developer, Fabian Schlieper, has gone missing in action and although he seems able to collect fees for support, he is unable to deliver that support. Anybody know for sure?

This is a serious problem for my site at https://sptr.net.

I found a new plugin to replace WP-Filebase Pro that is actually a great deal better for my purposes. it’s Thom Stark’s FileAway. I find it provides all of the functionality I needed without the pain of filebase synchronisation which has become problematic and unstable.

Thanks, Fabian, for all of your efforts supporting my site over the past 2 years and I wish you well.

I had to revert to previous version while I evaluate other plugins.
